He asked if it happened during the development phase, which it doesn’t. It does happen, however, when you lock your final cut and either CC inside your Online edit system (NLE) or tape to tape or negative cut to internegative (Davinci) or on your DI (Digital Intermediate).

Any color correction is done during the “online” phase. No color correction is done during the development process. They can do some things like push the processing or pull the processing to get a desired look on the negative, but major CC is done while editing.

Never above 100 IRE for the whites, and not below 0 IRE for the blacks. And the colors are measured on the vectorscope, and are not to exceed 100.

Move the 4.5 application to another folder, say like DOCUMENTS. Do the install…then move it back.

The 3-way color corrector is a great tool. And I’m with them…don’t just slap on the BROADCAST SAFE filter.
Color correcting a show and making it ready for broadcast really requires a lot of skill. Here’s a good article that will get you started:

Your best bet is to contact a post facility with tape>film capabilities. Preferrably the company that will be doing the transfer. They can provide the best information.
