No Matt, I give up.
This box has run fine for a couple of months with earlier versions.
I reinstalled Pro, and its 1.51 update, nuked any registry entries related to premiere 6.0 (uninstalled long ago), but neither 5.2 nor 5.21 will install their presets and plugins. I had to move the files manually to their respective directories. 5.2 installed fine on one of our new systems a couple of weeks ago. Who knows.

Do you have the same sync signal going to your deck and your bm card? The sync problems I’ve seen usually shows up as a jittery picture or the machine not able to resolve SDI audio, that sort of thing.

Monitoring would be great. I can’t even monitor HDV in the computer vga window when I have a BM uncompressed job open.
I notice that one of the Cineform packages support the AJA card, but they said they were unable to support BM because of lack of memory on the card. Monitoring is really all I’m after.

SDI is only audio/video. Control is 422 when you use SDI. 9pin serial calbes should work.

I use their multibridge product hooked up to the Betacam in a central location routed through BMs video hub to feed SDI to the suites. You can capture SDI signals in a DV codec with Decklink.

Don’t get me wrong. I chose Premiere. I think there are advantages to being with a mainstream application that many will know, with integration with the other Adobe products will pay off in the long run. There are lots of things Premiere will do that Edit won’t…but it is a tough transition.
