    Salut Justin,

Have a look at this thread:
    https://www.creativecow.net/forum/read_post.php?postid=105743140548530&forumid=41&highlight=around&archive=_2003

You would need Illustrator though to create your text… or you use the Invigorator text tool if you have the pro version.

Someone in the forum could also send you an ai file with your text in case you are not using a too fancy font.

    Salut.

-Click on the red button in your scene preview window to get to the set-up window.
-Click on the cube to be in the object mode then click select all from your object menu.
-Click on the set menu right near the object menu (It defaults to “1”) and select (Set 0) to park all your objects there
so you can free set 1 or whatever set you used and make a clean start.
-Now select each object individualy and assign it to a different set. (1-2-3)
-Once back to the scene preview window select each set individualy again in object mode and click on recenter pivot at the botom of the set menu. This will enable you to rotate each object properly on its own centered axis.
Now you can animate each set in your timeline.

    Salut.

Adobe changed a couple of things in CSII so if you are using it save an ai file version 8 for instance. It always works.

    Hi,

You may want to try the following:
    -Duplicate your layer 3X
    -From Bottom to top:
    -Original layer untouched
-Duplicate 1 with mode set to overlay to add some contrast
-Duplicate 2 with mode set to Multiply and opacity about 54% to reduce the highlights
-Duplicate 3 with mode set to Luminosity and opacity around 54% to restor details in the shadows.
Play with opacity values to taste.
    I hope this may help.

    Salut.

    Hi,

Simply create your star (closed path) give it a fill and import it into Invigorator.

    Hi,

-In the Set-Up window make sure “Shadow Casting” is checked for each light you are using or at least the light you want to cast shadows.

-Also make sure that “Disable All Shadows” is not checked.

-Now refresh your lighting in your Scene Preview window by clicking on the light icon.

    Salut.

    Hi,

I don’t think there is one. I use Alt>W>W>Enter as I only have one custom workspace.

    I hope this may help.
    Salut.

  • Funny, I did a very similar kind of compositing for a Chinese relative and client of mine a couple of years ago.
I had to spend a long time and money to understand what he meant under “Traditional Style”. On my way I learned so much about the extraordinary beautiful Chinese techniques and I implemented it in much of my work whenever possible.
Thank you for bringing those good old memories in your excellent example.

    Salut.
