    Hi,

Make sure your Invigorator layer is switched to best quality not draft mode or you won’t see your maps.
In the set-up window select your object and click on “Palette”. If you don’t see your material swatch this means that you didn’t apply it properly. If this is the case then just drag your swatch from the material editor to the palette.

You are using layer mapping so it is important that your layer map starts exactly at the same time then your Invigorator layer in the timeline or you won’t see it. This could be the second reason why you are having a problem.

Justin, You don’t need a TGA when you are using the layer mapping option. Saving to ai 8 is also only necessary if you are working with an old version of Invigorator.

    Salut.

    Hi peter,

I tried and tried to replicate your problem to no avail. What version of Invigorator are you using?
Are you rendering with fields? How does it look when you RAM preview?
Just a thought, what about enabling motion blur for the red texture layer?
You could send me the aep (serge at nyc-visual dot com) I’ll have a look at it and see if I can help.

    Salut.

    Hi Stephen,

The size that crashes AE is the limit I would say.
When do you crash? By previewing, final render, animating or right away when applying your texture? Do you get any warning?
What version of Invigorator are you using?

    Salut.

October 21, 2005 at 4:24 am in reply to: Dripping Text

    Hi Heike,

Duplicating your text layer and “painting” your drips with the Distort>Liquify effect would be one solution.
CC Mr. Mercury could also be am option as well as simply shooting your paint dripping along a black board then compositing it on top of your text. The last option I can think of would be to animate a couple of masks to simulate a dripping paint.

Also make a search (Including the archive) for “Ink”. You may find a couple of different approaches.
Without more details or a link to a clip none of us could give you a precise directive though.

    Salut.

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the delay I was too busy lately.
I created this quick explanation about the transparency mapping issue that you seam to have in common:

Roger buddy, Your corrected aep is here:
    https://www.nyc-visual.com/ROG TKT Project.sit

Your problem was that you used your texture map as the transparency map. It doesn’t work this way. I explained a couple of things in the aep but you also should have a look at the video.

Y.D, I don’t know why you couldn’t open the project. Try this new download:

    Salut.
