Hi,

Adding to the two excelent suggestions, another way would be to use ProAnimator for AE. (www.zaxwerks.com)
Although the plug-in is created to produce and animate 3D objects, if you map your pictures to a couple of rectangles,(respecting the aspect ratio)set the depth to (0), you could then animate your pictures with just a couple of clicks to do what you are after.

A quick fix maybe to open your sequence using QT Pro, save it, then import the QT into AE.

I think you got the max out of your RAM. Try previewing at a lower resolution or using the “Region of Interest”
feature.

When you save your file, make sure you uncheck the “Use Compression” feature in the “Illustrator Options” pop-up window.
