Hi,

There is an easier way to do this.

-Make sure you exactly know how much MBs the codec you are using will take for let say a min. (Render 30s for a test)
-Once you know how large a min would be, you could then make the math to find out how large a single part of your comp should be.

-Now add your comp to the render queue, hit Ctrl+Alt+; to open the prefs window and in the Output prefs check the “Segment Movie Files At” and type in the amount of MBs your clip should have once five divides the entire comp.

It should work.

This was certainly covered a couple of times. So please make a search including the archive.

Generally you shoot first a clean plate then your subject and use the pentool to cut your subject in AE. Your clean plate being your BG you could then set your layers to 3D and give the whole thing some depth by altering the Z-Axis value of your BG or subject layer.

If you don’t have a clean plate, you would need to duplicate your image, cut your subject in the top layer and eliminate it in the BG layer using the clone tool.

Generally speaking, Yes.

There are a few (Mostly free plug-ins) that only work for Mac or PC when the coder didn’t want or could make its product work for both platforms.But the amount is totally insignificant.

Hi,

Invigorator objects can’t interact with AE’s 3D layers. I didn’t see the DVD but you could create a plane inside of Invigorator, map it with your layer, assign it to a different set, then animate your text as you wish. Just make sure that your plane has the same aspect ration then your layer.

This is a bug in version 4.0.9. I talked to Matt about this and he fixed it for me a while ago. You should contact him. I am sure he will be pleased to help.
You could also reinstal 4.0.8 (If you have it) just to get you going for now.

Hi,

You need Invigorator Pro for this.

-Create first a tiny circle (0.8 X 0.8)
-Import your circle in Invigorator.
-Apply the following Custom Edge: https://www.nyc-visual.com/Bell.sit (This file has to reside in your Custom Edges subfolder located in the Zaxwerks main plug-in folder)

To get a smooth bell remember to type in the following value for both Object Faceting values: (0.01) But only when you are ready to do your final render not to slow down your preview etc…
