Susan, check your mail.
It was indeed a useless UV map. I created a new one and also smoothed the object and added a bump map.
Have fun!

Hi Susan,
To use the layer mapping technique you need to create a new comp at the right aspect ratio add your logo. Drop the comp in your main comp where the Invigorator layer resides.
To assign your comp as a layer map just twirl down the menu that says “Layer Map” located in the scene preview window (Effect window)then select your comp.In the set-up window you then create a new material and assign your layer map from the tinny menu right underneath your material swatch. Don’t forget to drag and drop your material swatch on your selected object.
To position your logo all you need to do is to open two ae windows, move your logo in your logo comp and see where it registers on the Invigorator object in the second window.
If your logo is distorted or can’t be seen at all then you have an object with no UV or bad ones. You could send me your AE project with the 3D object loaded and I would repair this for you;-)(serge at nyc-visual dot com)

Hi,
I wouldn’t use a Dedo as an eye light. It’s way too strong even when you dim & focus it.
In small rooms I got great results with a Mag light attached to the camera with the front part unscrewed.
Hope this helps,

Hi,
Go here: https://www.nyc-visual.com/movies_3.html and download the Viewfinder project.
For the mirror effect just do what David suggested or use a rectangular mask on a black solid and animate the Mask Expansion

Hi April.
I am not aware of a limit. The basic rule when your work is complicated is to ALWAYS save a copy of your project from time to time. This way if you have an issue you would at least not loose all your work. Don’t rely on the AE’s Auto-Save.

[April Henderson] “Invigorator Pro is a lot better than I thought.”
Here we go! Another addict;-)
[April Henderson] “I’ll definitely have to pick up your DVD Serge. Is it available through download as well?”
Sorry, the DVD can’t be downloaded.
Have fun with Invigorator!

1-Duplicate your clip comp in the project window, open the comp and apply the fill effect to the clip so you get a white silhouette.
2-Proceed as I already explained to assign this new layer map to your plane, just that you should use it this time as a transparency map. Do not alter the transparency value, just leave it at zero.

Ok, it seams that you are very new to Invigorator so I here is
another step by step:1-Drop your green screen footage on the comp icon and work on your key.
2-Drop this comp into the main comp where Invigorator resides.
3-In the Invigorator Scene Preview Window (Effect Window)twirl down the “Layer Maps” menu and assign your clip comp as the layer map.
4-Go to the Set-UP window, select your plane, load your texture map in the Material Editor using the tinny menu left to the material swatch. It should say “Layer Map 1)
5-Now simply drag and drop the material swatch on your object & check the Absolute Color feature instead of the standard Color. (It’s right under the Material Swatch)
6-Run and get yourself the training DVD. LOL!
Let us know if you get stuck.
