    I would rather like to have each clip separate, so I can apply effects/corrections on individual segments. Is it possible to have each clip rendered in png in a different folder? I’d hate for the whole thing to just be mixed together. This is my first time, so I have no workflow…

    Unfortunately some fonts are not very nice when viewed in interlaced. Perhaps encoding to progressive might give you better results? Although the DVD player will still do a conversion, so I’m not sure if it would really help…

    That’s probably it. Knowing who it comes from, chances are they did not finalize it. Is it possible to finalize in another camcorder? I don’t have access to that particular one…

    I’d also like to add, do not trust your own ear. Use the master level meter and look closely to see the loudness. It’s a good idea to keep at -12db or so. Less chances of distortion when played on DVD.

    You mean the project was opened with all the cuts done in Vegas available for modification in Premiere? I wonder how it would come out in After Effects. Can After Effects open AAF files?

    You might want to look up the event viewer (control panel/administrative tools/event viewer) and find out what process of vegas crashed (will be in red).

    Just an idea…
