A friend has given me some mini-dvd taken from a Canon DV camera. Unfortunately I do not know exactly the model. I though I could just copy the files over from those mini-disk and bring them into Vegas. Unfortunately, the disk are not being read by my DVD drive. Anybody has any experience with those?

My cameras still use tapes… not sure what to do with mini-dvds…

    Thanks!

File – Import – DVD Camcorder Disc and point it to the drive containing that disc.

If it doesn’t work you must put the miniDVD back in the camera and finalize the disk.

That’s probably it. Knowing who it comes from, chances are they did not finalize it. Is it possible to finalize in another camcorder? I don’t have access to that particular one…

    Thanks!

Probably if it is the same brand. It is the software part of the camera or firmware. Take it to a Best Buy and just ask for help.
