Thanks for the ideas – I’m going to start playing now and hopefully post something up shortly for comments.

Thanks Rick – not sure that the owner of the dress would appreciate me dipping it in tea though! 🙂

I’m going to play with stops on the cam and see how it comes out.

Hmmm. I spent several hours last night playing with composites and although there were some interesting effects it looked like it would take a *lot* more work to get it looking decently sweaty.

So along comes Bill’s idea and I’m thinking – why didn’t I think of that? 🙂

That’s an interesting idea. I might try that – compositing it over. It’s worth a try anyway.

This is the image; and there are similar close ups where the cam moves round.

It’s going to be hard if not impossible to double him.

I wish I could but it was filmed in another country and it’s just not possible.

Thanks everyone. I rendered it as suggested and it certainly looks good on the TV; hopefully I’ll get a chance to see it on the big screen later.

By the way, there’s a trailer for the film here if anyone’s interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQMlzPxIpoY

Thanks for your help with this. The video looks good so far so I’m quite pleased with that. Most scenes don’t need to go as far as 2x so it should work out fine.

    Cheers.

    Thanks for your suggestion, Mike.

As you might guess I’m fairly new to this end of things. I’m wondering though

    a) is rendering to SD going to give good enough quality for the big screen?

    b) when you say “as long as you don’t zoom in to less than SD size” how can I determine what that is?

    Cheers,

    Sean.

Thanks for that – I just tried it out and it looks good.
