    Hi Tim,

I realise this thread is over a year old but I’m experiencing exactly the same problem.

Can I ask if – and how – you got it fixed?

I’m going to take it to the Canon shop next week but before I do I’d just like to check there’s nothing simple I’m missing here!

    Cheers

One of the best is Kevin McCloud – https://incompetech.com/m/c/royalty-free/

You can also try a Creative Commons search for music which will turn up plenty.

When I’ve had this problem in the past it was mainly due to the lighting set up and I had to reshoot on the green screen.

    Is that an option?

Yes, there is. You can apply it to the music track or individual elements on the track. Click the green “cross” button to see what’s available.

    Thanks, Jack.

I think it’ll be sent on DVD to festivals and so on. I’m going to stick with 10% as it seems reasonable and do some masking where it’s not possible to close in enough.

I’m afraid you’ve lost me completely, Steve. I’m just after opinions here; you say you wouldn’t use it (fair enough) so I’m wondering why.

Anyway, if anyone else has used it feel free to chime in.

I mean why wouldn’t *you* choose Lightworks as a replacement for Vegas.

The jury is still out for me.

This is take 2 – I speeded up some areas of the film and changed from an iris fade to a simple cross fade.

It’s an improvement but the next stage is going to be more: new footage and of course better lighting (although the final scene will take place at night in a house) and no shadows! 🙂

So this is the first take. It’s using a basic steadicam which has to “look” around the room first so it’s not possible to use a consistent dolly shot.

There’s a lot of things wrong with the transition but this is a start.
