Canon XHA1 wont turn on at all
Hi,
Wondering if the camera XHA1 needs professional fixing?
It won’t turn on to at all. All I get a slight blue flash on the HDV sign on the toggle ring when i try to power up.not even playback will work.I’ve checked both the stand by buttons, I’ve checked the batteries and any power supply. It seem pretty bad.Any suggestions?

I realise this thread is over a year old but I’m experiencing exactly the same problem.
Can I ask if – and how – you got it fixed?
I’m going to take it to the Canon shop next week but before I do I’d just like to check there’s nothing simple I’m missing here!

In the end I took it to the Canon shop and they repaired it. It was the CCD which they replaced. It cost about 800 US (600 EUR) but I figured it was worth it (just).
Works fine now.
