My point being, if that’s the case you might as well set the SR deck to output 4:2:2 and just use ProRes for your offline. You’ll get real-time effects and all that.

I hate dealing with large companies like that. The only way to get good tech info like that before buying is to download the manual from the website.
The Dell PowerConnect switches are great and you don’t need a CLI to do LACP.

There are ways to run Mac OSX on a PC, which could then in turn run FCP. If you are asking how to run FCP on Microsoft Windows, you can’t and never will.

If a product has an HDMI input you can use that. All you need is a cheap cable adapter.
Check the Blackmagic Intensity. Contact them and see if it can support 1080p50.

Which product is the same as yours? Use that one.
The driver update could be a replacement for the Apple driver, which could make it work or make it not work at all. You’d have to remove it and re-install the original Apple driver (which is complicated).
There’s also a firmware update. Chances are it won’t work with your product. But it could – which could in turn fix your problem, or ruin the card completely. Just giving you fair warning here.

Ryan. Firmtek has a driver update for their product on the website. You might want to try it with your product since it has the same SATA controller.

Traditional pro equipment won’t accept 1080p over DVI. I would check gefen.com for something.

Well you’d have to find or a create a still image of blue-only colorbars and just load it in your FCP View and play it out. I too remember reading why it wouldn’t work, but that was for a CRT. Maybe someone who knows more could chime in.

It has component. I don’t think it has blue-only but I’ll double-check. Not sure that’s important for a non-CRT, since one could just feed it a blue-filtered colorbars image.
