Sorry if this is off topic but I wasn’t sure where to post.

I work in the medical field and we have a camera arriving in a week or so for evaluation. I think it’s designed for medical imaging primarily and as such only delivers 1080p50 output via DVI.

During our period with it I’d like to record some test footage but can only handle up to 1080i50 via my IoHD. I will be able monitor the 1080progressive pictures via an LCD monitor though.

Can anyone advise about how I may be able to downconvert the 1080p to 1080i or have any other suggestions.

    thanks

Traditional pro equipment won’t accept 1080p over DVI. I would check gefen.com for something.

Thanks Sean that’s what I though but hoped there might be some temporary solution.

If a product has an HDMI input you can use that. All you need is a cheap cable adapter.

Check the Blackmagic Intensity. Contact them and see if it can support 1080p50.
