I think Premiere Pro only makes CMX3600 EDLs. Yes, it works fine with Final Cut.

Go into your OSX System Prefernces, click on Decklink Settings, and make sure your input and output is set to analog, not digital SDI.

I’m an Apple lover and all, but the Dell 23″ is vastly superior and costs less money. It has more than twice the contrast ratio, plus it has DVI, VGA, and analog video inputs. I’d get that.

Thanks. Caught your post just in time. I only had the free Automatic Duck AAF plugin. I trashed it and now I have video output. Awesome.

I just saw the thread posted after this. I did have Automatic Duck’s free AAF plugin installed. I trashed it and that fixed the problem.

Well first off, make sure the TIFF has field dominance set to “none”. That’s a big deal.

Ok, what’s the second best way?
I don’t want to do a clean install of Tiger since I did the upgrade already and it works great. I just want to get rid of FCP 4.5.

It worked fine for me. You need to use the Blackmagic 720p DVCPro 59.94 Easy Setup.

True, it is a good codec, but he’s mastering to BetaSP. So it’s best to render everything to Uncompressed beforehand.
If you master to DV50 over firewire, then you do not want to render it as uncompressed. Use a DV50 timeline and that way only video with effects get re-compressed.
