90% of it is a technique called offset animation. Basically animating your object once, then using masks to chop it into lines and offsetting the timing to make it look more complicated than it is.

Good call with preserving RGB! I’m trying to use it non-destructively, so I can’t render with the lut baked in because it’s only half way through our pipeline, but does it helps with the composite.

Ah, so the plugin is for viewing purposes only gotcha, that’s super handy! I’ve been able to do round trips before, but the luts were never pixel perfect, but this seems to do the trick.

That’s awesome, was scouring for something like that.
So workflow wise I would
1) Import footage
2) Set color management to correct color space (Slog-3) & set to linear
3) Interrupt footage to correct color space (if needed)
4) Use simulate output
5) Then use qp Nuke?Or should I just import footage normally, and not worry about colorspace and just apply the qp Nuke Lut to a adjustment layer on top of the project?

Ah, yea for that all you should have to do is click on Mask 1 and it should light up.

Could you specify how it’s not working? Is the button grayed out? Do you have the mask selected while trying to track?

It’s fairly easy, it’s using masks to show the video layer underneath as the top tray is pulled away.
I’m busy currently, but later I can make a quick demo if masking doesn’t work.

Is it a shape layer? If so you might be changing the scale of the entire layer vs changing the scale of that particular shape.
