    Hi,

I’d like to make a transition like the one in this video after 8 seconds:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SVYEsD46j4

If you move an object out of the video the following video should already play. I haven’t found any tutorial on youtube. Can someone direct me to a tutorial or at least say how such a transition is called.

    Thanks for your help!

It’s fairly easy, it’s using masks to show the video layer underneath as the top tray is pulled away.

I’m busy currently, but later I can make a quick demo if masking doesn’t work.

Note that you don’t move the desk in the original shot, you just have the person grab the edges and stop. You add the pulling motion in AE.

Thanks for your help! I have seen that it is also possible to make a mask in premiere pro. Now if I use the free draw brezier or any other form, my “track selected mask forward” button isn’t working.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Could you specify how it’s not working? Is the button grayed out? Do you have the mask selected while trying to track?

Ah, yea for that all you should have to do is click on Mask 1 and it should light up.
