The footage is from various studios and at various rates: HDCAM 59.94i and HDCAM 23.98psf.
But I should also mention that once finalized, the master will have to be converted for PAL. So should I be asking the studios for a clean 60i tape for an easier conversion to 50i, or does that not make sense?

i’ll be using an HDCAM deck via HD-SDI. so capturing with 3:2 pulldown will get me 1080i correctly?

having the master tape converted to PAL is not an option unfortunately due to the weekly turnaround and cost of having it done.

the latest codec that they asked me to give them is H264. why they can’t use mpeg2 is beyond me…
i am waiting from an email from them, but i am guessing they are on an older version of avid which can’t upgrade to newest quicktime?

but would it matter that the client on the other end works in avid?
