    Hi Scott,
I came across your question about ipad capture via HDMI. I see it was over a year ago. did you work it out. Maybe you can help me. I am using Black Magic Intensity card. Using both the BM software or Adobe Premiere CS5 they both drop frames and stop capture after about one second. Video captures fine, apps seems to be the problem. Any ideas? I do have an old FCP Express HD software I have rarely used. That shouldn’t be the problem though I don’t think.

    thanks,
    Scott

I am in the same boat. I have seen amazing video from this thing. It’s hard to get over the idea of using a still camera for professional video. There must be a downside. I know the audio input is mini. I mainly want to know if the footage will edit in Premiere CS3 on mac. Very important.

    thanks.

I am having the same export problems. the footage in HDV. the project setting is correct, not 4×3. Absolutely positive of that. I still get the 4×3 “squished” export, no matter what setting and I have tried every one of them. If i bring the export into squeeze it seems to fix it.

I have to bring it into Sorenson Squeze an compress and it come out right. But uploading final to vimeo it gets squshed to 4×3.

Thanks very much for the response. It was anything played out of premiere. Same clip played in FCP. That’s why I was sure it had to do with premiere. I found the problem. Under preferences there is a media tab. It shows the path to the media cache. There is a big button labeled, clean. That took care of it. I had been working with a composition from after effects, going back and forth editing it. That apparently builds up something in the cache and bogs down. That was new to me.
    Thanks again for the help.
