I have been to that website and I have tried that MPEG streamclip. When I select my video files, it says that these is an error and that I can continue and. It then fails when it tries.
Here is a pic of what happens.

October 6, 2015 at 3:10 pm in reply to: Merging video files, I know this has been covered before but still searching for answersHey Steve,
Thanks for the help on this!!! It looks like this script just deals with the audio and video clips being different lengths. I really need a solution that will join/merge the two videos into one clip in my windows environment. I often have to get a smaller version (in size) to the client through dropbox and would like to be able to take it into Handbrake or something and make a quick small version for upload.
So I am primarily looking for something that will join these clips and not re-encode them.
Any thoughts?
Really appreciate all the help!Best

Thanks for the reply, that however, doesn’t work with MP4 or MOV files with the GH4. I have tried that with my camera and it only show the .MTS type files. I have both those and MP4 on the same chip, and using Device explorer only the .mts show up.
Any other thoughts? I am REALLY just trying to merge the videos outside of Vegas. There are times I need the entire video clip I shot in it’s entirety and don’t want to go into Vegas.
I appreciate all the help!!

I meant no offense. Many people say MANY things to me with the utmost sincerity and they are at times incorrect. I don’t know you personally, but do take what everyone says with a grain of salt.
Again, no offense meant, I hope to see Vegas 14!!Xavier (Scott) Francis

Then why this info from another post?
Sad message! I was at IBC 2015 and spoke there with Gary Rebholz about the future of Vegas Pro. VP will be maintained he said, but there will be no version 14.”
And this from Sony:
Sony Creative Software remains committed to Vegas Pro, our strong craft video editor, and continues to support the product. For Vegas Pro 13, we’ve released 4 updates so far, the most recent in June (build 453) which addressed some key camera support issues and is compatible with Windows 10.As a policy, Sony Creative Software does not comment on future product plans, however we are actively assessing market and customer needs for future major and maintenance versions of Vegas Pro. If you have specific needs, we’d love to hear your detailed product suggestions:
Seems like we are seeing the potential end… Am I wrong? Thanks!

Thanks John!!
I am aware of people not being able to comment on what they know, but a guys gotta try right? LOL!
It isn’t that Vegas is going to stop working right away, it is what another person stated. You invest years and years and $ after $ into an ecosystem and make it your primary tool. One might say why stay with this editor when you know it will become obsolete in the future, do we now have to worry about the new equipment we purchase, etc?
I love Vegas for the most part, I really do. However, Sony needs to let their customers KNOW if they plan to develop Catalyst into what Vegas was, or if they are building a new editor that is cross platform, or they are done with NLE’s all together.Just my two cents! Thanks for all your help and input!!

Anyone have ANY reasons to upgrade at all?
I didn’t like what I saw in Win8/8.1 so what is so cool about 10? Seriously, I don’t know what is better or cooler enough to upgrade this OS.Xavier (Scott) Francis

June 29, 2015 at 6:10 am in reply to: That crazy should I rebuild or not question, but I’m stuck.I would go with a MINIMUM 750 watt PSU. You will need the headroom once everything is cooking. I have seen much higher performance in playback and rendering with the 290 series. So you should have good luck.

I use 32bit AUDIO plug ins all the time in Vegas 13. Haven’t really had any issues as long as you point to the proper VST folder. In fact, I think ALL of my audio plug ins (non Sony) are 32bit. Not one has a folder under anything other than Programs (x86) folder.
