Is the second avid a mac? we’ve run into that with sharing projects between pc avids and mac avids. we would just not use any special charaters besides an _

the simplest solution is have him create a new project and copy your bins into the new project.

Plus the DNX codec will save the editor some time on his import.

I Guess they assume anyone looking to work in 2k/4k would finish on a DS, or another high end finishing system.

did you tell him $200 for a song is not a Ferrari, more like a 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera.

You say you worked for A&E, so I assume you live in NYC.
As an editor in NY, no one cares if you have a degree.

BUT getting your foot in the door is not easy. And the easiest
way to get your foot in the door at any post house is an internship.

    Good Luck

I’ve never noticed a speed increase with transcoding over importing.
but, I’ve also never bothered to time it.

Thats way 2, 8 hour days is always better than 1, 16 hour day.
Gives you time to get away from the project and look at it with fresh eyes.

Try going to the “avid attic”.

If you don’t know how, search “attic” in the MC help file
