OK, it sounded like the Calibrated software was the way to go. I have purchased, downloaded and installed, but I can’t see to figure out how to get started with it.
Where is it. Is it in FCP or a seperate App.

Thanks for letting me show once again that I am not the brightest bulb in the chandelier.

David or anyone else,

I am trying to import a targa sequence and I’ve gone to “help” where I have found very little help. So, if you can educate me on the art of importing, rendering and exporting into FCP I would be very appreciative.

Auli,

I ended up upgrading to 6.0, not exactly using Shane’s method, but upgrading none the less. And everything has been fine since. I have be so busy shooting that I haven’t done any editing since I upgraded, so actually the importing is fine and I think the editing will be fine.

We are currently shooting DVCam and I have purchased two HVX200 cameras, and would like to use those here at the University to shoot HD. I also shoot projects on the outside and use the HVX200s for those. A lot of our file video is Beta SP.
I have no idea what will be happening five years from now, my crystal ball is a little foggy.

That’s what I was afraid of. I already have the G5 and the FCP6 upgrade, I just trying to finish a project before I do the install. In fact I read your blog about how you did you install. It sounded like the way to go.
