I always Make a version 0 with the pure ungraded version to show the client where we came from.
Whenever they ask for drastic changes I also make a new version.
Flicking through them is like before and after in in-between

haha, I am sooo happy I finally have nodes where I can rearrange things, plan my structure and don’t have to deal with layers or scaffolds or whatever which do not interact properly when drastic changes have been made. The whole parallel node topology is killer ! Not to speak about mixing masks and blending grades.

Ups, sorry, you are right.
Down shift + disable current is a far stretch, I agree.
Also clickclickclick for the versions can be tiring.
And to mirror the Wipe I also use Shift W on the keyboard.
And yes, I am not using the big panel at the moment and have all those mapped to the G13 which proves very capable again.A slice of color…

People are still using TGA ? wow.
And it sounds you are in the game for a panel, all those thing exist as buttons on both the cheap ones and of course the big ones too.
As limiting visits to the keyboard goes, the panel is your friend.

Of course I agree.
Fusion had this nice feature that you can drop the link on the whole node and it picks the most used connection first.
So Foreground, then background, then mask, then birthmap, and so on.
That was very fast to construct.But speaking of it, this is the reason I use a standard tree with all the tools I normally use.
So i dont spend time making nodes, but instead use predefined keys for skins, vignettes, curve tools to fake contrast and many more.

On a non scope environment, I really like to have them up.
On a non second screen environment, I tend to have one very high and thin.
