A little tip for fast tutorial inputting (Matrix Style ;-):
For me, most tutorial narrators speak waaaaay to slow and it takes ages.
hard to cop with for somebody hyperactive.
My solution: Open the Tuts in QT Player and set the playback speed to 1,5x – it still fully understandable, but cuts down the time tremendously. 🙂Greetz,

I kind of understood that from the Ripple Training Workshop already. I’m still wondering out of curiosity, where does DaVinci then save this project to? Where is it physically stored on the HD? It must be somewhere, right?
Also: what is the advantage, or difference between having is as a disk file or in this more virtual way?Thanx.

It depends how much you are depending on accuracy. I just got 2 Dell’s U2410.
Very good screens with IPS. They are a bit pricey (around 400.-), if it doesn’t have to be that accurate, there is also the successor of that screen – I believe 2412 or 2413. Quit a bit cheaper and still very good.Greetings,

Yup, that is what I thought first as well, but there was only one V1 Video Track, and that was switched on.
In general I feel the whole track on/off and patching tracks is so different than in FCP or PPro.

Haha, this is really the weirdness of computers sometimes:
this is exactly what I tried all the time…but the FX editor was empty…no option for Promote Button.
Then I read your post…tried exactly the same again, and suddenly it’s there.
Absolutely no clue, how this is possible.
