I’m not in the studio right now, but I def will check it out. Yes, percentage for scale and aspect ration for distort would be perfect.
By the way, is there a way in X, how you could click on DV anamorphic footage like on the browser of 7, you when you bring it n the TL it stretches it out the right way?Thanx.

Yes, I can only second that opinion, but as mentioned before: I think a good tutorial is essential, since a lot things are totally different in X. So different, that you won’t find them just buy starting to edit on it, since as FCP 7 veteran, I did not even search for this kind of things, since I didn’t know of its existence.
Ripple training is good, as well as Larry Jordan’s full FCPX course.
Take yourself two full days to go through one of them – make notes of new and different features and keyboard shortcuts, and you are ready to go.Greetings,

Yes, an interesting Q indeed. Here in Israel, most people in Israel work with AVID, a minority with FCP7 and only a view with X.

Unfortunately, all transitions should behave like that in X.

Yes, that seems indeed one of the big faux pas of X.
It’s still weird to me, that on one side, they made such genius new features into this App, and forgot about the most basic ones a pro app needs – like this feature, or OMF, or many other things.
I really hope, they close that gap soon, since I do thing X is in many ways pretty genius.
I have a project right now, where the client brought mixed frame rates – PAL & NTSC – and I threw it all on one PAL TL and it work fantastic in real time.Sascha Engel
