Thanx, that was the problem, unlike 9, DaVinci 10 is auto set to Local Version. Thanx!

Yes, but the weird thing is, that I had the automatic import Media to Media Pool box checked and it did import only the 3 entire takes, it did not chop it up in bits and pieces, so why does it not see them as whole clips then?

That’s what I thought at first, but it wasn’t going away after a restart, only several days later. And it was also not related to Filter/Keyword selection – since it’s a common faux pas in X, I checked that first.

Hi Jeremy,

Yes, the footage was imported into the Event. Just that later on the attempt to ad further files (JPEGs, Sounds) was just not showing up in the Event Browser.
Only if I created a new event and imported those additional files there.
But strange enough, when I opened the project the other day, all was back including all the files that I tried to import for test reasons and that did not show up in the beginning.

C100 and C300, imported, copied to event folder and for the C100s also transcoded to optimised media.

1.) Because the original was some of AVI QT, that FCPX did not recognise

2.) Wouldn’t it be practical to be able to dial in a specific frame rate for a project?

You mean to set my project settings to either one of the two Codecs – HQ or 444?
But how would that influence my Optimise Footage settings?
Sorry, I am asking, but as far as I know, the project settings do not influence the import optimise settings, or did I miss something?
