Hi Raphael,
I do not have a Blackmagic card, I just used that Codec because I like the results – specially the Blacks.
So, you think with downloading that Codec you mentioned from the side, will make it possible for compressor to work with it?
Weird is that FCP right now handles those files very well, as well as MPEG Streamclip!By the way – Good to hear from you again!

Thanx Michael. That was it. Even though The dashboard was switched off, the F8 button was assigned to it. Once I unchecked that, the button was unlocked within FCP. Great one!

Your suggestion sounds very interesting.
But I have to admit I am not sure I understand it fully:
– Angle of incident=angle of reflecction => could you ellaborate on that one?– The method of “sandwich” was not clear to me. If you don’t mind, could you explain it in different words?

We make films in Israel – which means a full feature film here costs the amount of a good video clip in the states.
And low budget films here are No-Budget films.
So, no way of sound stages!

I tried the automation, but it still gives me this hideous curve just before it hits the silence – there’s no way to fade down linear in FCP and it’s really a pity.

Very good point – never tried it that way, cause the keyframes put manualkly suck.
By the way – is there any way, I can connect my Oxygen 8 or Akai Midi Controller to connect to FCP?Sascha

Thanx David, but I also know that one.
In my specific case it just didn’t help, since I had in the V2 layer a slug Line with Widescreen bars in it, which I did wanna see – to do the right framing.
Just the effects should have been off.
It’s those little things that bother me sometimes about FCP workflow – that and a proper masking system and proper audio key frames 😉Any idea possiblity to achieve that?

Thanx. Yes, I thought about that as well, but if I want to e.g. re-position clips or do other things with them – which are easier & faster when the effects are off, how do I get those adjustments then quickly back to the SEQ where the FX are turned on?
