Hi Michael, unfortunately, half the media was transcoded through DaVinci so I know that won’t have any meta data information within it.
The AMA Plugin column is empty with everything I know that I AMA’d in through Avid… -

January 8, 2015 at 4:28 pm in reply to: 25fps timelline issues now needs to be 29.97fpsI’m not sure why the new footage in 30fps… I’d made ‘same as source’ prores qts as the original files were mp4s and they’re for some reason 30fps but the raws are actually 60fps not 30fps! So, I’ll need to remake them anyway… I made them in media encoder with same as source settings so I’m not sure why they’re 30fps and not 60.
Anyway, I can’t open a 25fps sequence in a 2997 project. Avid won’t let me do that, hence my problem, otherwise I would have done that straight off the bat. I’ve also tried AMA-ing them in and consolidating them and letting Avid do the frame rate conversion.
No, the 29.97 footage isn’t ghosting in a 29.97 sequence… I can open the 2997 clips in the 25 project and it looks ok but it’s when I bang it on the timeline is where the problem lies.I’ve realised that when the clips are in the sequence and has that green dot, it’s ok but when it’s rendered that’s when the ghosting comes in.
So, what I need to do it get the 60fps clips into a 25fps project… I didn’t think avid had issues with different frame rates in one project.

April 26, 2014 at 3:44 pm in reply to: stabilizing EXTREMELY vibration filled, shaky aerial footage from a 5DHi Sam,
Can I pick your brains as to what settings you used on your jello footage in AE?
I have some jello issues with some Red Epic footage and I’m struggling to get any resolve in AE with the warp stabalizer and rolling shutter. If you can help that would be awesome.

Okie doke, I’ll give those a go. Thank you.
Is this a rolling shutter issue or is it something different completely?

Hi George,
Basically, in the screen grabs, when the lightening strikes, you can see a ‘split screen’ with part of the frame light and the other dark.
My director wants me to remedy the issue…Hope that helps.

Hi Bob, thanks for that.
I never move the video reference once it’s been imported.
Luckily, I only just created the project – starting with importing/ referencing the video first. The reference files ARE actually stored onto the Mac internal HD, but I’ve never had this problem until now.
Why should the reference QTs not be stored on the HD with OS and Software? This is, however, the first time I’ve used a raided drive for a mix.
I’ve just requested another drive for the sound mixes.I’ve never had a DEA error before, is a DEA error basically some kind of corruption within the PT project?
Thanks again,

Thanks for that… it’s G-Tech 2TB drive with 2 partitions. Raid A and B.
I did the necessary described in the second link but no joy.
I’ve decided to use another projects online drive to begin this mix, as I’ve already been put back 6 hours :/
Do you think maybe a re-format would help? OR, to cut my losses and get a separate drive?
I know audio and video media should be on separate drives but the clients generally like to keep budgets down where possible.

Pretty sexy looking – although we use g-raid drives mainly. the slim ones and the bulkier 2TB drives so we’d need something that can support them?
Would this still suit?

We have preference manager, but I can’t see a way of saving the effects favorites?
I’ll give the new project a go and set preference manager to lock the editors keyboard layouts etc.
Thanks guys
