We were initially connected via component, we had picture coming through but when we went edit to tape the edit to tape tool would be unresponsive.

We managed to get the film to tape via firewire and going PRINT TO TAPE but it’s not timecode correct.

The blackmagic card is/ should be controlling the deck, yes.

The deck has gone back upstairs for another project now so not sure what the input setting is.

Hmmmmmmm, we’ve tried those things already.

Including different ordering of filters. We try not to use the broadcast safe filter in FCP, it seems to do nothing at all.

We tried The Grading Sweet 3 Broadcast filter too, with no joy.
We’re running through a blackmagic box with video playback set at 8 bit (also tried 10 bit).

We’re left scratching our heads as to why, when we put the level filter on we have no peaks or errors but when we export the qt from the sequence with the filter on and re-import it, we get errors?
It’s like the export forgets to carry the filter information over too.

Tried the RGB Limit filter too, that seems to be ineffective.

Our error report is showing that in places, our Luma is under.
Usually between -1 and -5.

Any more advice would be appreciated.

I tried that… It just made an mxf vlc and xml on the disk.

You know when you do a consolidate, i.e, media manage to a hard drive you have a consolidate that is just the media used in the sequence… well, they want that but on an XDCAM disk instead of on a drive (save storage space apparently). I PRESUME it’s do-able since my client has requested it.

I did a google and searched on here but no luck.
