If you’re talking about effects favourites, you can create a new project, drag all your effects in there from your ‘favourites folder’ and save the project.

Then you just have to drag them back after a trash-prefs.

We have preference manager, but I can’t see a way of saving the effects favorites?

I’ll give the new project a go and set preference manager to lock the editors keyboard layouts etc.

    Thanks guys

Effects favorites are stored in FCP preferences, so back those up to save the effects.

    My software:
Pro Maintenance Tools – Tools to keep Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro running smoothly and fix problems when they arise
Pro Media Tools – Edit QuickTime chapters and metdata, detect gamma shifts, edit markers, watch renders and more
    More tools…

It doesn’t have to be a new project…It can be any (or every) project.
