Saving favorites in FCP?
Posted by Sarah Bright on July 27, 2011 at 1:39 pmHi guys,
Quick question, is there a way to save your favorites in FCP so that when you trash preferences you don’t need to set them up again?Sarah

July 27, 2011 at 1:43 pmIf you’re talking about effects favourites, you can create a new project, drag all your effects in there from your ‘favourites folder’ and save the project.
Then you just have to drag them back after a trash-prefs.

July 28, 2011 at 8:11 amWe have preference manager, but I can’t see a way of saving the effects favorites?
I’ll give the new project a go and set preference manager to lock the editors keyboard layouts etc.
Thanks guys

July 28, 2011 at 4:27 pmEffects favorites are stored in FCP preferences, so back those up to save the effects.
My software:

Pro Media Tools – Edit QuickTime chapters and metdata, detect gamma shifts, edit markers, watch renders and more
