Premiere Pro CC does support dual GPUs right now, it would be cool to see those benchmarks too. I couldn’t find any on the web.

It works, partially. The RedRocket card runs crippled. It’s not at full capacity. Red Epics record 5K, and 6K in the near future, and then there’s RedRocket X, a new Pci 3.0 card. You would need at least 80Gbps to get the most of the card, that also speeds rendering a lot. You can get the preview to work at least in one video layer, but not the high speed renders.

Like Jeff says, in Ppro you can conform footage to 24fps or 23.976fps and you are done. It works, no rendering.

In January 2010 I bought my first Red One. I also bought a dell precision workstation with a core 2 quad and a nvidia quadro card inside with 16 gigs of ram.
I traveled all around central and south america shooting commercials with my Red One and a Phantom.
All editorial work was done natively on the adobe suite and scratch. Phantom files were transoded to uncompressed on location.
E-sata was used and it worked flawlessly.
This was 2010 and you are saying it is the future?
I still prefer a decent workstation with a quadro card and a dream color, but for my shooting needs I got an Ibuypower with a desktop processor, a sandy bridge hexacore at 3.30 with an nvidia gtx680m. It is a beast, it’s heavy, a lot, and it has a terrible display, but it runs 5K epic at half res in PPro. It has e-sata, USB 3.0, fw800, express card, etc. It is everything but light and portable, but it is a beast!

Samyang and rokinon are the same lenses, rebranded. Samyang=rokinon=bower.
Used S16 lenses are a great choice for that sensor size. Some S16 used highspeeds arri zeiss could cost 10k for a set.
