Ok.. thanks for all the input. So i’m guessing it’s ok to show a before and after of breast augmentation as long as nipples are blurred? It would air on a local cable channel and possibly a broadcast station like WFMZ in Allentown

Off the top of my head, It could be the fact that u r using alot of effects and/or maybe there’s an issue with the hard drive. I also find that if i have alot of other programs open it slows down too.

    My two cents 🙂

    Thanks Nick,

So what can i do in the future to ensure that what & who I shoot is my property to sell?

Is it as easy as a video release form?

    TIA

    Thanks guys for the input.

Let me give you some more info. This is my first doc. and I kinda of did it “bass-ackwards” 🙂

Initially, I met with the guy I wanted to do the doc on. He agreed, the company agreed and we went from there on a hand shake. I wanted to get all the paperwork out of the way before I shot but it was taking so long just to get a response back from his employers and there was valuable time wasting so I decided just to go ahead and start following him around and recording him without any paperwork or contracts.

So now, I have one more shoot in July with him when he goes to visit his family in Canada.

After that, I will be editing it and hopefully selling dvd’s by christmas time.

So basically, right now all I have as far as paperwork is a contract from his employer giving me the right to use their logos and his likeness ( he’s a mascot BTW 🙂 and a few releases of the people I interviewed.

So, thinking out loud here, there’s really nothing on paper that gives his company or him any right to and %. Now could this bite me in the a** later?

October 3, 2011 at 2:37 pm in reply to: p2 driver erased my data

    Thanks Jan and Steve.

I did call Panasonic in NJ but got their voicemail. I will try again. I’m not sure what the heck the driver did to the cards. When I put the cards back in the camera to playback, it just says error on all the cards. So I’m not even sure if the driver reformatted or not.

As far as the hard drive, I have the computer at the local Mac “genius” bar for diagnostics. So I will find out hopefully this week what’s up with the computer. I do back up all my videos. It just so happens that I did not back this show up cause I still had it on the P2 cards 🙁 but fortunately, the hosts of the show can re-shoot the show this week 🙂

    Thanks again for your posts.

    Sam
