    thanks for the reply

I was out for some work.. yes I am following the proxy workflow and instead of color finale i am opting for Davinci resolve. i am on 2014 Mac Pro so system is not a problem when i am working in proxy.

fcpx 10.2.1 has dpx export so round trip from resolve would be easier way to work.

has someone faced any problems in this workflow ??

one question in mind though should i edit in the resolution which i need to deliver (2k DCI) or should I edit the raw footage which is shot on 5k. any suggestions on that please.

    thanks

    Thanks for the reply,

I wanted to complete the project in FCPX if that works fine and someone has done that.

I kind of like color finale for color correction and grading.

I think the only problem would be dpx output from fcpx..

    thanks though

It should appear in the import window even if it not compatible.. it will give error later once you pressed the import button and it will check for compatibility…

never seen these kind of issue

    i have 750E and 150E as well.

150 gives way better performance in same lighting conditions, ut one thing I’ve notices that when i monitor the footage from 750 on my TV while shooting (Y out)it shows no signs of noise but when i take the card and transfer the footage my eyes don’t believe the noise!

so I think its the compression ! if you have facility and can capture through component it gives very clean 4:2:2 video. compared to the recorded file on the card.

I’ve used BM card but a multibridge, works fine for me as I’m working with different formats at a time. for full HD you need raid arrays… I’ve good experience with multibridg,

November 19, 2010 at 9:45 am in reply to: Odd Chroma Keying idea, will it work?

    Hi Thomas!

low budget is the key to invent new ideas… don’t shoot the whole band together, shoot every member at a time I hope the band is not VERY BIG… this will save your cost for big green screen and lights..

than composite it may be in after effects and if you are or a friend of yours is a good after effects user you can use after effects camera and and rightly said about the 3d flag plugin….

create whole scene in after effects 3D or may be some other compositing software

you need to be a good composite artist to pull out this effect,,,

    best luck
