Okay thanks, but what I still don’t understand is, is that why does the video look so good while in AE, compared to when it comes out? I export it as an uncompressed AVI file so shouldn’t uncompressed AVI look good?

Well I want to export it out of after effects to be used in Premiere pro afterwards and placed in with the rest of the editing. I want the quality to just as high as it was originally shot, if possible.
We are aiming for film festivals and we shot at with a1080p camera at an H264 codec. In after effects, the effects look good but after exporting, it looks so much more pixelated compared what it was before. So I want to look just as high resolution going in, as it does going out, if possible.
I was able to do it before and I don’t see any settings that have changed.

Okay thanks. What should the settings be in both the output and the compressions settings be to retain the highest quality?

But this never happened before when using AE, and only started recently, and the video files are same as before. So is their anything I did differently before that made it work then?

No I meant sometimes when I am on in focus I cannot tell cause people say the zoom lenses are softer than primes, but I cannot tell a difference in softness when it focus.

Okay thanks. The tango plate is quite costly to get though. If I have to may just get a Zhiyun Crane 2, since I can use it for several things in the future, or just get a tripod, where you can do a 90 degree roll, only the anchor point of the roll is not in the middle, like this one here. Do you think a tripod head like this can perform a good 90 degree roll, or will it not be smooth enough since I think it was meant for still photography maybe?

Okay thanks, I wasn’t planning on using a lot of shots with it, just a few for certain things, but I was afraid that maybe the sparing use will make it stick out like a sore thumb even more, but I did some tests. Sometimes I can see a difference in softness and sometimes I can’t and make it depends on how far away the actor is maybe?

Oh okay thanks. There is also those tripods where you can do a 90 degree roll, without the anchorpoint being in the middle, but for some reason manfrotto doesn’t seem to make any and they are not as popular.

Do you think that shooting with a telephoto zoom zoomed in then would be riskier then since it’s quite softer looking?
