Does the disk show up in disk utility anymore? If so and if the drive still isn’t showing up on your computer, try to erase the disk again and format it as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Hopefully that will get it to show up on your computer again.
As for you iDVD projects, you might need to start over and recreate them.

You might want to go from FC Express straight to iDVD instead of using iMovie. iMovie duplicates the file. Unless you added things to your file in iMovie, delete the iMovie project you created.

Hey Calvin,
You probably want to save your project files so that you can make changes to them in the future.
So a DVD or CD of the project file and any other files that you used that didn’t come from a tape that was shot on a camera.
Save the original camera tapes that you shot.
From this you will be able restore the project again if you need to in the future.
Once you’ve done this, you can delete your files from your computer. (It wouldn’t be a bad idea to restore your project first as a test.)
The key is to make sure you have what you need before you delete your footage to make space for more projects.

It really depends. What version of FCP are you using? What are you going to be delivering to? When you say best, can your system handle uncompressed hd? What are you exporting for?

My export is back up to 78%. We’ll see if FCP kicks the bucket again. Ohhhh…. The excitement.

My excuse is that I’m exporting a movie from FCP right now:) It got to about 85% and then FCP quit, so I had to start over. The cow is a nice way to pass those hours of waiting.
What’s everyone else’s excuse for spending some much time on the cow?
