I have same problem with RS422 on MB Extreme (OS X10.4.4+MB Extreme 5.2.3). But with mu keyspan (USB to RS422) all things work fine. I wait answer from BMD 3 days – nothing . . .
I don’t have RS422 control with my MB Extreme in FCP :-(. About “No Video Signal” I got this message always and in all systems (with Decklink Extreme (SD), Decklink HD Pro and MB Extreme) if I connect both Inputs and Outputs to tne same deck. Mey be You have same setup? Try disconnect Inputs to Decklink if You want to output to deck material, or disconnect Outputs from Decklink if You want to capture source material. It help for me 🙂
Not, Decklink HD Pro is PCI-X form factor. BUT new Quard G5 have PCI-Express buses only. You need wait for Decklink HD Pro PCI-Express. Or You can read topics about PCI-Express to PCI-X. It somewhere here . . .
