February 21, 2014 at 8:17 pm in reply to: tracking and replacing in AE

thank you guys so much for the answer. Actually the project is a _bit_ more simple. I need to replace the moving “hole” of the dress with a fixed image. so what I really would like to have, is in each frame, a set of points that represent a line that represents the borders of the dress

i wanted to do it using Mocha. I saw that mocha can export the tracked object as a rectangle (I think). But if it does so, it must know the borders as well. So maybe the question, in retrospect, is how to export the dress borders using Mocha. (and then, how to consume it using AE)
If not possible, maybe some other product that can help?

February 16, 2010 at 8:12 pm in reply to: AE CS4 very long time till start up

Well, ok… I guess you’re right, sorry about lack of details.

I have Q9450, 8GB RAM. OS = win7 and all the apps are on the OS drive (C:). scratch and page file are on another drive (20Gb in raid 0 HDD’s) and also I put on C: drive pagefile of 12Gb (I have lots of space).

The thing is, the logo of AE seems to run fast, while it loads all plugins, then it dissapears and the After Effects window shows up, and from this point, it takes exactly 90 seconds untill I can start working, as if it loads something (but the CPU doesn’t load anything, so it seems). I see the blue circle of window 7 (like the sand clock, back in XP) and only after 90 seconds I can do something.

When I had Vista it started alot faster, like 10-20 seconds.

First, can I upload picture here?

regarding your suggestion, the final output shows the agents hands are multiplied for about 10 times in one frame…
I think this maybe complicated to do with your idea, which seems good, but maybe there’s an easy way doing so.
Because in your method I will need to freezeframe the hand for about 10 times in 10 different positions, right?

July 10, 2009 at 10:03 pm in reply to: keyframe for Depth of Field?

Well, I tried, but I don’t see any difference.
    Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

  • It seems that an transition effect I used, of Canopus Videofx Transitions made all the mess.
I tried to replace this effect with another effect of Videofx, still jumpy.
Only after have I replaced it with an other effect, or deleted it, the problem was solved.
    Hope it will help someone!

July 8, 2009 at 6:28 am in reply to: “Edit Quality Presets” goes back to default

I did it a few times. Still, whenever I open the quality presets, it shows the default blue ray, or it shows VBR 2pass, even if I save another transcode.
Is it some kind of bug, maybe?
