    hey,
u don’t need to worry about wrinkles.
Median with a value about 7 will do very good job. then by letting this adjustment layer as lighten
will keep some natural texture of your master clip, but will keep out all the dark wrinkles.
Just tune the second adjustment as normal having some opacity.
You can also add a levels filter on each adjustment.
Do the match grain on a precomp only.
otherwise the motion of the tracking will make grain less visible (4 more if motion blur is enabled )
    while the face moves.

    Take a look here :

I’d recommend u to run a track over the eyebrows features as 2layers in mocha.

Make 2 nulls in AE, offset them to be placed in the area you need to “heal”

Then check how well they respond as the tracking data comes not from this area.

Later make 2 adjustment layers, parent them to nulls Left and Right.

Offset-fix any drifted track directly by positioning those adjustments kith key frames.

Draw a mask for each one, add median filter, and use “lighten”
    as blending mode.

You can duplicate those median layers, setting them as 50% opacity and set them ass normal.

Precomp those layers and nulls. Then use match grain.

November 30, 2011 at 6:54 pm in reply to: make 8mm film scratches from white to black???

Since FilmFix for AE By RedGiant is no longer available,
I’d recommend you to take a look at Freddy’s Van de Putte vimeo page
    https://vimeo.com/user678523

    scripts and more here:
    https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=144271
    https://www.super-8.be/s8_Eindex.htm

Freddy Van de Putte is a master of scanning and cleaning up 8mm film using the freeware
    AviSynth Application.
Freddy also wrote the most powerful scripts for AviSynth so he gets excellent results!

But If you have a strong budget and you don’t want to spend your time on AviSynth,
there is the Foundry plugin Suite for Nuke / shake /Autodesk /fusion.

    Furnace Scratch Repair
    Furnace Dirt Removal
    Furnace Motion Smooth

    All you need!

    cheers

  • so what was the “healing” tool for you ?

  • FAST TYPING SIDE fx…
so let me add missing words ( bold )

    hey
as Roland R. Kahlenberg already recommended try to fix it
using AE CS5.5 (warp stabilizer) I don’t know if you already own this latest version.
I’m still on CS4 …so if you are still practicing using mocha, you may wanna try
as an alternative those auto steady plugins such red giant stabilizer, or 2d3 steadymove.
It might be one click case…
Boris have a similar plugin but it’s not my favorite!

Virtual dub does this steady miracle too..and it’s free…but i assume you
dont wanna drop yourself into Virtual dub with deshaker plugin.

  • ok…i blame safari for windows!!!
your video appeared as still with no playback controls. On firefox works ok.
    So..
i thing you should try mochas planar tracker
from 0 -12 sec try to track the shoulder behind book.
Then you can add a new spline on her dress chest to the 20 sec.
then candle and table can offer a final texture for a good tracking.
Use keyframes to smooth cameras path.
    Looks easy..
