    Hey guys. 😉

Here we are, I have this tricky clip to stabilize.

The actress is -of course- alive so it’s not easy to me to figure out what to do.
My best shot was to track her eyes, but it didn’t turn out well.

I’ve uploaded the video for a better understanding, do you have any tip or idea?
As always, thanks. Let’s see if we can find a solution for this one.

i might need a tutorial on how to post video /or still on cow.
Is this a video or a photo still?
Your description makes me think that you may have to try the stabilize engine inside mocha
Use eyebrows instead eyes but keep untouched the first and ending frame
So you will have a smooth camera motion path.
But again if i can watch ur video i might be wrong.

Btw..i assume your door/shadows fx shot is completed right?

This one is tricky cos you’ve got camera movement as well as movement from the subject. Also, there seems to be less movement from her eyes, hairline and nose – so perhaps those are good places to track.

If you have AE CS5.5, it will be interesting to see how the Warp Stabilizer handles this shot.

    ok…i blame safari for windows!!!
your video appeared as still with no playback controls. On firefox works ok.
    So..
i thing you should try mochas planar tracker
from 0 -12 sec try to track the shoulder behind book.
Then you can add a new spline on her dress chest to the 20 sec.
then candle and table can offer a final texture for a good tracking.
Use keyframes to smooth cameras path.
    Looks easy..

It indeed can be easy, it’s that I’m still practicing Mocha, so using multiple splines is still something I have to test out. Same goes for the Warp Stabilizer. Thanks for the tips, I’ll make sure to upload the result.

    hey
as Roland R. Kahlenberg already recommended try to fix it
using AE CS5.5 (warp stabilizer) I don’t know if own this latest version.
I’m still on CS4 …so if you are still practicing using mocha,
as an alternative those auto steady plugins such red giant stabilizer, or 2d3 steadymove.
It might be one click case…
Boris have a similar plugin but it’s not my favorite!

Virtual dub does this steady miracle too..and it’s free…but i assume you
dont wanna drop yourself into Virtual dub with deshaker plugin.

In the end I found a way to avoid VirtualDub. I did indeed use it for all these years but most for converting and filtering with Avisynth.
