Are you using edit>paste or edit>paste>mocha mask?
Try pasting on to a solid.
If you view the surface on this particular track is it animated? Can you export tracking?
If this does not help, try contacting imagineer support:

June 27, 2014 at 6:26 pm in reply to: Problem when pasting a Mocha track to a Null in After effects. Null separates from anchor point. This will depend on what you are tracking and how you are exporting.
When you export a transform, scale, position from mocha to AE, you will get the center of the mocha surface.
If you export corner pin out of mocha, you will get all 4 surface corners as animated corner pins.
It sounds like you want to get one corner to drive your null? You could either expression link a corner pin keyframe OR you could also scale and position your surface in mocha very small around the area that you want to export.
There are multiple ways to achieve what you want. Another is simply creating a 2nd null to offset.

June 27, 2014 at 6:21 pm in reply to: Tracking difficult and fast panning shots with Mocha for stabilization. It appears from your video that you do not fully grasp the concept of “planar tracking”. Are you sure you have watched the mocha getting started videos? https://www.imagineersystems.com/mocha_Fundamentals
Regardless, if you are trying to stabilize, roto or simply do a match move, the mocha user needs view the shot and think about planes.
You created a shape around the entire car, flag and person. These areas are not all moving on the same relative plane. What I would recommend is creating a shape for the hood of the car, one for the side, one for the window. Each spline has its own “surface” which is the blue box that represents the tracked plane.
Once you track, view the surface. If the track on the surface is not very good, the spline will not follow well. If your track is not very good, and you are animating the spline, there could be a counter-intuitive battle going on. Splines are linked (children) of the tracked surface.
I hope this helps. You can always contact Imagineer support for more detailed help.

June 27, 2014 at 6:13 pm in reply to: Stabilization with Mocha. Better bleeding black bars technique? If you are looking to use mocha Pro’s AutoFill feature for stabilization with After Effects, than yes – you would render the stabilized shot with the AutoFill option to remove the black edges and limit scaling.

mocha Pro has advanced modules such as the ability to stabilize and render with autofill.

June 25, 2014 at 8:08 pm in reply to: Stabilization with Mocha. Better bleeding black bars technique? There are lots of techniques for stabilization including AE’s warp stabilizer.
mocha Pro has a module called Stabilize which adds “Auto-fill” feature to get rid of the black areas that occur when stabilizing.
If you are using the Adobe bundled mocha AE, here is a nice video that offers some cool tips for stabilizing without having to scale your footage:

June 25, 2014 at 8:04 pm in reply to: Tracking difficult and fast panning shots with Mocha for stabilization.I believe there is something that you are missing in mocha.
An important aspect is to learn that you can add multiple shapes to the same track layer (X+) button. As long as they are on the same plane, this can greatly help a track.
The trick is to avoid the foreground elements that are moving on different planes. This can be done by stopping and animating your shapes to avoid the fg, then keep tracking. OR you can add shapes for the foreground – making sure they are on a layer above the BG track.
Another technique for panning which is very useful is “unlink” tracking. I would advise you to watch these tutorials:

June 16, 2014 at 9:05 pm in reply to: Mocha Pro Remove Tool – How to solve the issue of Mocha Remove not actually removing the objectsSome good tips included in this post.
Here is a link to mocha Pro Remove Modules that discusses “Clean Plates”:
https://www.imagineersystems.com/videos?tagFilter=Clean+Plates&sortBy=NewestAnd general mocha Pro Remove Module videos:
https://www.imagineersystems.com/videos?tagFilter=mocha+Pro%3A+remove+module&sortBy=NewestWhen working on advanced removes that involve multi-planes, I would recommend rendering in passes and saving your project at stages. You can keep all the removes in one project be changing the source and output directories in the project path of the Remove Module.
Multiple clean plates – I agree this is a very powerful workflow and very often necessary to give you the best results on difficult removes. I will see if there is a specific video, and recommend that we create a new one.
On that note wanted to also mention (2) advanced tutorial options for mocha Pro users:

It depends on the motion and the curve. A lot of the time you can get away with a planar track and then add the curved distortion in your composite OR break a surface into multiple planes.
Additionally mocha Pro has a mesh warper which is purposely designed to bend an insert for a curved surface.
This is an advanced tutorial, but covers some of the concepts for bending an insert for realistic compositing. https://www.imagineersystems.com/videos/mocha-pro-how-to-replace-a-logo/view
Beyond this, you might want to look at more camera tracking such as PFTrack or Syntheyes.

mocha AE ships free with Adobe AE CC. It is not a plug-in. It is launched by selecting a layer in AE and under animation>track in mocha AE.
mocha AE is used for roto masking and planar tracking. Relatively easy to learn and lots of free tutorials.
