  • Thanks, John. Much of what I’ll be doing will be for the web, but when the broadcast commercial stuff starts coming in, I’ll definitely be contacting you for advice.

    Question:

    1) Did you/do you do all your audio editing within Vegas, or do you take it out to Sound Forge? I thought I had read a post by you at one point that you take a lot of audio out to SF? Is that even necessary?

    2) What do you use for color correcting? I’ve been looking at Magic Bullet Looks, but am also realizing now the importance of learning Adobe AE, which does color correcting as well.

    Thanks!

    Thanks, Steve!

I’ll take a look at those tuts.

Do you know the best place online to get AE, meaning the best price?

Works EXACTLY like I wanted and needed!

Now, can someone come up with a VASST plugin like TimeWarp…except the opposite: use it to create slo-mo?

    I downloaded TimeWarp.

All I get are “Catastrophic failure” errors whenever I try to timewarp an event.

    Here are the details:

Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1
    Version 12.0 (Build 710) 64-bit
    TimeWarp Version: 1.0.2.29603

Excellent! I’ll get it and give it a try!

I’ve purchased others like Stutterframe and think they’re great!

    That’s a great idea that I hadn’t considered.

Actually that wouldn’t work with these particular clips for some reason. I ended up changing the entire project I was working on to 720×486 and the flash transitions STILL appeared larger.

So, what I ended up doing was removing the crossfades/flash transitions and simply creating a new video track above the track where I wanted the transitions and then put a couple of film burns above the areas where I wanted edgy transitions and it worked great. I had to resize the film burns, though.

    Thanks for the reply.

I was wondering how to do that, too!

Ranged HSL still isn’t what I’m looking for.

I hoping there’s something like the secondary color corrector in Vegas where there’s an eyedropper that I can select, then select the EXACT color in the image.

Anything like that in MB Looks?
