    Steve:

I don’t see a Color Corrector or Secondary Color Corrector filter in Looks.

Is that the exact name of the filters you’re referring to?

(I’m using the Looks 2.1.1 demo version.)

  • Is this the full version, or the demo version?

I haven’t purchased MB Looks yet. I’m still wanting to download and play with the demo version, if I can.

When I tried their current demo version, it wouldn’t work with my version of SV: SVP 12 on a Win7 system.

  • I have SVP 12 on Win7. I downloaded and installed the demo version of MB Looks 2.

It didn’t show up in the Plugins list.

So, do I need to upgrade to Win8?

If so, tell me ALL the problems Win8’s gonna cause!

  • Wonderful!

    That did it!

For some reason my Default Video Track Height was set to 146! How it got there, I don’t know!

I set video and audio default heights to 64.

I didn’t know about that feature. It’s obviously something you don’t want to touch unless you know what you’re doing.

    Thanks, again!

  • OK. I should have included images.

If I recall, whenever I used to drag a video clip onto the timeline, it looked like this:

    Fine. No problem.

Now, for some reason, whenever I drag a video clip from the Explorer down to the timeline, it looks like this:

It now fills the entire timeline whenever I drag it there. It’s annoying, to say the least!!! I have to drag it to make it smaller, or press the ~ key to minimize it, then drag it to the size I want.

  • Thanks, but that didn’t work.

    Actually, I solved this!

I simply opened the original .veg file, copied the logo and bar clips, reversed them manually in Pan/Crop, then rendered.

Alpha Channel works like a charm!

    I think I found the problem…and perhaps a bug!

What I did was create a new project in which I had my logo pop up from the bottom, then some bars slide in from the right.

I rendered that out as a QT file as Animation and 32 BPP Color and 100% quality.

Brought it into a project and it worked great with alpha channel!

So, I decided that I wanted to have the logo and bars slide in, then reverse and go out after a few seconds.

So, I created a new project, brought in the QT file, CTRL dragged it to create a copy, placed it next to the original, then reversed it.

Then rendered it out…and BAM…there’s the problem.

For some reason I can’t get SV 12 to alpha channel a clip that has a reversed video clip.

Is there a way to do what I want?

I just opened the original .mov file, pulled the clip and re-rendered.

I actually started over, deleted the .mov files and started with the original .veg file I had and rendered to .mov.

    Simply doesn’t work anymore.

What are the correct settings in the QuickTime Render As for an alpha channel when you’re wanting to make a lower thirds?

    I tried that.

    That worked.

    Thanks!
