Bill,
Capturing MiniDV but, you’re right, I do have it checked and the capture/Export File Segment Size is listed at 2000MB.
So I guess I should uncheck it. I will try that.Thanks.

I’m not capturing them separately. I am capturing them together unless my using preview (under clip settings audio) means it is being captured separately. I thought that was just so you can hear the audio as it is being captured…

FYI _ I forgot to mention that the font that I imported showed up in the font collection with brackets like this ..
followed by the !#$%’ The other fonts that had the same brackets and !#$* didn’t work either. -
The image size was 3.75 x 2.25, the resolution was 300 pixels per inch and the mode was cmyk/8bit.
But perhaps it was %? Because on the file name it said @66.7%
Perhaps I saved it wrong when I had to choose the image compression? Or the byte order?
Thanks!

The media is located on La Cie 1 terabyte disk and on a Rockstor 500 gig external disk and I am using the firewire 400 cable in some case going through a hub which I am using but I also try it directly into the machine and still have this intermittent problem. I only have four audio tracks and mostly it is just dialogue on one track.
This seems to be a new development. My memory is 2.5 gigs. Do I need more of this?

October 1, 2007 at 9:49 pm in reply to: Unable to speed clips, audio & video keep separatingThe way I do it is to drag the clip up to a video track that isn’t in use…then lock all the other video and audio tracks, then change the speed of the clip I’m changing then drag it back down to wherever I want it and adjust the other audio and video tracks accordingly.

I’m kind of a newbie at this so please forgive my lack of knowledge but you’re right. It is a “project” file. Can you tell me where the project file came from? With AE which I did buy or with FCP which I bought also?
Thanks.

Actually, I forgot to mention two things….1) We did select the Video Out Firewire option and
2) I do have the Canopus ADVC 100. I did try that also but I may have been doing it wrong. It sounds like you’re saying that the video (after selecting the Video Out Firewire Option) can be routed out (thru the S-video out and the RCA video out on the back of the canopus) to one NTSC monitor in the control room and also to a second NTSC monitor in the tracking room and my two computer monitors will still have Protools working on them. Is this correct?
Is there anything else I need to do to tell the computer to do this? Say, in Preferences or something?
I really appreciate your help. Thanks
