Try dragging the Color Corrector 3 Way filter onto the clip and then click on the dropper by the right hand color wheel. Then click on the girls white t-shirt. This should get the color balance back to normal for her but the background is in sunlight which is a different color temp so it may stay looking a little out of balance. Next drag the slider under the right hand color wheel (highlight control) until your Histogram has no red showing at the right end. You need to be in the Color Correction layout under the View menu (I think)for the Hisogram and other scopes to show. Now drag the slider under the left color wheel until the left side of the Hisorgram is just inside the lower limit line. Adjust the center slider until the mid tones look about right. This should get things back to looking much better. Good luck

I use auto focus about half the time. It works very well in most cases outside but if you notice it hunting back and forth just change to manual and it will be fine. Make sure you have “peaking” turned on, this helps a huge amount keeping things in focus. I set my peaking to the color yellow and turn the peaking knob on the front of the viewfinder until the first level of peaking appears. If you turn peaking up to much it interfers with your picture so much it gets annoying. If you have the time manual focus works best but if you are running and gunning then use auto as you won’t have time to manual focus, frame your shots and keep everything else organized as well. Those are both too big to put on a DSLR. I have the 66 and would never put such a large mic on a still camera body.

If you have kept all the files related to a project in the same folder you can just copy the folder across to the new drive.

I would use FedEx or UPS Next Day for reliability. UPS is usually cheaper. I think uploading that much data leaves too many chances for failure.

I think this happened when they made it slow motion. Is there a way to get the original footage or was it shot this way. The EX-1 and -3 shoot perfect slo-mo so I wonder if they processed it in some way. Check and see if this is the original footage. If it is I’m not sure if you can save it but maybe someone else has an idea.

Yeah, I’m kind of between a rock and a hard place about the new FC when it comes out. I want all the bells and whistles but I have a 2008 MacBook Pro so I doubt it will handle it. I only have a duo core processor and 4 gig of RAM. Real time effects in multiple layers will still probably be glacialy slow. I still want it though!

HDV is 1440 X 1080. There is no such thing as 1080 x 720. It is either 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720 for HD. Drag a clip to a new project timeline and let FC pick the correct sequence setting. Then it should work.

I have the Micro Pro and the Flolight 256. Both work great but the 256 puts out more light and runs off camera batteries. The Micro Pro uses AA batteries so it is easier to use in the field. The 256 is also a little bigger.
