    How full is your system drive?
    It is a 230 gig and I am using 100 gigs

    Are you storing media files on the system drive?
    Ye,s sometime 2 to 4 times a week ill export a qtime to the desk top over the last 2 years

    Repairing permissions worked

    I took your advice repaired permissions with Disk Utilities, something I need to do more often. After a short repairing pro apps are opening up just fine. I have not used them yet, but everything appears to be fine.

    You’re trying to insert edit from the timeline to the deck. Edit to tape works from the viewer to the tape. You’re probably trying to edit a slug onto the tape. Put the sequence in the viewer.

    That did the trick along with Deans info. It works great now

    I think thats what I was trying last time I attemped to do it, is there a magic # that works for 1800s
    Also how are you getting your video from the Mac to your 1800? Do you have a Kona card of some type or are you passing through a DV to anolog device?

    Right now Im getting “compressions do not match output” so Im checking all mt sequence, clips, and output settings.

    PS I just got back from a year trip in Florida working on a PBS show, amd yes I am still doing the “Granny TV Mall” show.
