No I did not get a solution. That was a while ago and I can’t remember exactly what happened.

I really liked the way Resolved worked, but gave up on the way it imported my sequence.

I like the way SpeedGrade works with PP CC (Direct Link) and now us it everyday .
The sequence roundtrips perfectly keeping it in tac. The SG grading comes in as a filter for each clip in PP CC sequence. So you can save them as presets, and paste them into other clips. But if you want to make adjustments you have to go back into SG.

I am watching to see how Resolve’s NLE system will work

But now PP CC to SG and back is working just fine

Thanks Andy this helps me understand how Premier handles audio.

I was also confused with what the station wanted, so I was having a hard time.

Turns out all I really needed was 2 stereo tracks. One with narration only , and the other ME& dialog

    That I could figure out.

Although I do have anther dilemma I am truing to figure out

My 1/2 hour show consist of 4 to 7 segments. Each segment is edited in it’s own timeline and then all of them placed in a master sequence for output.
I can only get the master sequence to have 1 stereo audio channel.

I need to have each sequence’s audio channels appear in the master sequence so I can out as needed.
Do you know is this is possible .

OK I just exported the same timeline in my fist post on this thread.
But changed single track to 4 mono in export audio settings as you said.

Here is what I got (not what I need yet)

A1 & A2 full mix of all channels in time line (this is what I want)
A2&A3 mix of dialog only from timeline A1&A2

I just realized I need my result to be different than what I was trying to get.(not to different)

exported file needs to have the following audio tracks
    A1 STEREO Full mix left
    A2 STEREO Full mix right
A3 STEREO Minus Narration: Left (undipped for narration)
A3 STEREO Minus Narration: right (undipped for narration)
sorry for the change, please be patient with me

I have read/watched a few tutorials and I am very close to getting it right, but still missing the target.

Here is what I am doing.

    Goal:
to be able to export Mov with 4 seperate audio tracks (stems)

    Current results:
I am getting 4 separate tracks but not mixed the way I think it’s going to be mixed

    What I am doing:

    Timeline has 6 tracks A1 & A2 dialog, A3 & A4 music, A5 & A6 sound effects and NAT sound
    timeline is set for multichannel
    Audio Track Mixer is set:
    A1 Assignment 1+2 3+4 5+6 Full mix
    A2 Assignment 1+2 3+4 5+6 Full mix
    A3 Assignment 1+2 Dialogue only
A4 Assignment 3+4 5+6 Music, effects and nat sound
    Master Number of channels 4

    Export audio settings
    uncompressed
    48000Hz
    Channels : 4 channels
    16bit

    Audio track layout: single track

    Channel layout Mono

Please help me if you can
