You should put a slate for audio sync at the head of your actual sequence. Just nest what you already have and put a simple slate/countdown with audio beeps. When you render, set your output module to TIFF sequences. Then from the composition menu, select Add Output Module, for this module, choose to output audio only, with your desired settings.

Time is always calculated on a decimal basis. If you wanted to work in terms of frames then it is very easy – just type, 1/25, if you wanted a 1-frame differential. And 7/25 if you wanted a 7-frame differential.

It’s actually a lot easier and it works for different people – there may be those that prefer to work with decimals/integers and there are those like yourselves who prefer to think in terms of frames.

To convert from interlaced to progressive, interpret as per normal. And drop the footage into a normal comp – 720×480. Then render out without fields. The last step is the only difference from what you would normally do – assuming that you always render to fields.

You must be alluding to 1280×720. There is an option for InstandHD to Fill 1280×720. Use that and it should fill up the comp nicely.

I haven’t had any issues with QuickTime’s PNG. It’s quite important to my workflow. Are there any ‘news’ out there or first hand-experience that you can provide – will be greatly appreciated.

May I humbly suggest that you try TIFFs with LZW compression. It works in almost any application on almost all platforms and the files are decent in terms of storage requirements.

Sorry. My bad. At time zero, you will receive this error message – you can’t divide by zero in as far as Expressions is concerned.
