There are lots of effects in the video. You should specify the timeframe where the effect occurs and describe the effect; just in case there are more than one effect at play, at the specified timeframe.

I’ve attached a CS6 AEP. The AEP includes example of a Shape Layer that has been used to create animated dots around a path.

The tricks to creating this effect are –
1) Set Line Cap to Round Cap
2) Set Dash Size to 1
3) Add a Gap Property – click on the + button on the right of Dashes to add a Gap Property
4) Use the Offset property to animate the dots

Hi Gina, it’s the 0 key on the numeric keypad that starts a RAM Preview – NOT the 0 on the main keyboard.

You will hear audio provided the disable audio button in the Preview Panel is not switched on.

I believe that installation for third-party software are on a separate disc. These were installed after you had installed AE.

I believe that you have invoked a preview via the SPACEBAR. Such a preview will stop when AE is no longer the active application. Such a preview also does not include audio.

Instead, you should invoke a RAM Preview, which is done by hitting the ZERO key on the numeric keypad.

It’s hard to see what your issue is. So, here are a few tips.

1) Use the Text Animation Preset – 3D Rotate (you mentioned this is your first post). With this, you don’t need the CC Sphare effect on the Text Layer.

2) Ensure that both layers are 3D Layers

3) You may have to enlarge the mask that is being used as the source path for the Text Layer’s Path Options. The mask has to be larger than the globe. Otherwise, parts of the text will look cut off as they intersect the globe while rotating.
