Flow of circles
I have been animating circles following a path with the echo effect. I am showing the flow on a hydraulic schematic. I run into trouble when I have multiple lines stopping and starting. It becomes very time consuming keeping them all looking natural and working. Is there maybe a better way of doing this. I have used expressions a little and was wondering if there might be a way to use those. Not sure but would love any feed back. I am including a link of what I have been doing so you can see what I am trying to explain.

I’ve attached a CS6 AEP. The AEP includes example of a Shape Layer that has been used to create animated dots around a path.
The tricks to creating this effect are –
1) Set Line Cap to Round Cap
2) Set Dash Size to 1
3) Add a Gap Property – click on the + button on the right of Dashes to add a Gap Property
4) Use the Offset property to animate the dots7946_animateddotsshapelayer.aep.zip
