You’ll need to create/extract a matte of the ‘below object’. Then combine this matte with the text layer’s alpha channel to create a new composite matte.

You can’t move KFs and layer I/O across multiple layers simultaneously. Either you precomp and Time Remap or be very careful when move the KFs and layers separately.

Trim Paths work better (creates more expected/intuitive results) with Stroke than Fills. So … remove/disable Fill and enable Stroke and change the Stroke size to suit your needs.

I should have suggested earlier that your insert logo should ideally be orthogonal – without perspective. Then make it a 3D layer and you should have no problems.

Most CODECs encode with a strict requirement that the screen aspect ratio is divisible by 4×4 blocks – or something similar. I believe having an odd numbered height forces the encoder to insert a line. Try setting your comp to either 802 or 804 and see if this fixes your issue.

AFAIK, you can’t do that with gradients. Instead, you may use Trim Paths and multiple instances of the Path to create the your multi-colored line.

I suggest you place a Solid over the original logo to create a seamless overlay. Then place your insert logo into place and animate as per your requirements. By removing the original logo with a Solid overlay, you will have more leeway when inserting your logo.

Hi Ben, I;m not familiar with what a ‘flip’flop’ effect looks like. I can’t provide a solution to something I can’t visualize – can you provide an example?
TO duplicate an effect, you simply select it in the Effects Control Panel and hit CTRL+D (Edit>Duplicate).

If your camera is moving then you need to 3D Camera Track the shot to first lock it into place before you animate it off. If your camera isn’t moving then you’re not doing things correctly because you should be able to lock in the insert logo with either Corner Pin or as a 3D layer or even a combination of the two.
